1. The Service

ZoneStats.io provides lists of registered domain names for individual top-level domains (TLDs) and for all zones combined, together with optional enriched datasets (for example nameservers, IP addresses, registration dates, registrar details, and contact information collected from publicly accessible websites). Data is delivered through the website and through our API.

The data is compiled from public sources, including registry zone files and our own web crawling. We work hard to keep it accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that any list is complete or error-free. The Service is provided for informational and research purposes.

2. Accounts

To download data you need an account. We use passwordless sign-in: you receive a one-time code by email, or you can sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping your email account and your API token secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Do not share your API token with anyone outside your organisation. If you believe your token has been compromised, contact us so we can issue a new one.

You must provide a valid email address and be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

3. Subscriptions and Payment

Downloads require an active subscription. Plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider, Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars or euros depending on your location and exclude any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Subscriptions renew automatically every month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your Dashboard; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. We may change prices for future billing periods by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email.

Refunds. Because our data is delivered immediately and cannot be returned, all payments are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law.

4. Licence and Acceptable Use

While your subscription is active we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download the data included in your plan and to use it within your own organisation for lawful purposes such as security research, brand protection, market analysis, and lead generation.

You agree not to:

• resell, sublicense, publish, or otherwise redistribute the data or substantial parts of it as a standalone product, or make it available to third parties except as part of your own value-added service;
• use the data to send unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or calls, or in any other way that violates applicable anti-spam, privacy, or data-protection laws (including the GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and similar legislation);
• use the data to harass, defame, or harm any person or organisation;
• share your API token, circumvent plan limits, scrape the website, or place an unreasonable load on the API;
• use the Service in violation of any law or the rights of others.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the data complies with the laws that apply to you, including obtaining any consent that may be required before contacting individuals.

5. API Use

API access is subject to the limits of your plan as described in the API documentation. We log API requests (including your IP address and token) to operate, secure, and bill the Service. We may throttle or temporarily block requests that appear abusive or that exceed your plan.

6. Intellectual Property

The website, its design, documentation, and the compilation and structure of our datasets are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and database rights. Individual domain names and facts contained in the data are not owned by us. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account without refund if you breach these Terms, if your payment fails, or if we are required to do so by law. You may close your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and contacting us. Sections 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10 survive termination.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service and all data are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Zone files and websites change constantly; we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the data or the Service in breach of these Terms or of applicable law.

11. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue parts of the Service (for example add or remove zones or dataset fields) at any time. We may also update these Terms; the current version is always available on this page, and the "Last updated" date shows when it was changed. Material changes will be announced by email or on the website. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Cyprus, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence provides otherwise.
